Project Description
Accounting and Finance Diploma Level 4 and 5 give you the core knowledge and skills for employment and success in Accounting, Finance and Business.
Diploma Level 4 and 5 are equivalent to 1st and 2nd year university, recognized internationally and by SAQA, leading to final year of a Bachelors Degree.
The Modules include learning material, 24/7 tutoring, webinars, videos, exercises, readings and other support, and a Certificate for each Module.
Entry Criteria
Level 4 – School leaver, 18 years old
Level 5 – Level 4 or equivalent
Level 4 Modules:
Explore how the Business Environment affects business, including economic, international, technological and competitive factors.
Learn key areas of Managing and using finance, and how accounting can inform and guide management and financial decisions.
Maximizing resources to achieve business success by effectively managing financial, human, intellectual, knowledge and other resources.
Gain Quantitative skills and practice numerical exercises and understand their use to assess and improve business and financial performance.
Understand Basic accounting and financial reports, and how they can be used to assess and improve the health of the organisation.
Understand methods of Budgetary control, including developing departmental budgets, which are combined into a master budget.
Explore how Financial performance can be assessed and improved using financial reports, and learn ways of raising business finance.
Understand and apply Financial ratios to assess and improve a business, including liquidity, solvency, gearing and profitability.
Understand the main Financial statements: Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss / Revenue and Cash-flow Statement, and the accounting concepts used.
Learn Further ratios to determine financial efficiency and assess likely success, including debt repayment capacity and investment appraisal.

Explore Organisation Structures, how they function and affect motivation, performance and growth in different organisations
Do Practical Accounting Analysis exercise and understand what they are tell us about assessing and improving performance

Learn how Politics and Business impact each-other and the economy, including growth, employment, trade and finance.
Understand Business Law essentials including laws of contract, employment, companies, directors and international trade
Explore Managing in Today’s World including technology, change, governance, equity, diversity and environment issues
Understand Performance Management including motivation, rewards, training and development to ensure high performance
Learn Marketing and Sales essentials including markets, customers, competition, advertising, branding and social media.
